Adding grades for file submissions

Adding grades for file submissions

This article walks you through the steps of grading file submissions.

 Instructions

To grade your students' file submissions, open your experiment and go to the STATUS tab.

  1. Click an exposure set to show the associated assignments.

  2. Click the assignment you want to grade to show students' names.

  3. Click the student’s name to show the file submission and add a grade in the TOP BOX (please note that the changes aren’t saved yet – the instructor needs to click SAVE in the top right corner, and then BACK in the top left corner to get back to the list. Also, the score in the bottom box won’t change, but it will be logged.

  4. Click BACK to return to the list of students. You should see the grade you added. Repeat the steps above for other students in this exposure set, and for the same assignment in other exposure sets.

  5. When you’re done adding grades, click SAVE & EXIT (this saves the grades to the Canvas grade book).
