Creating & publishing an assignment in Brightspace

Before creating an assignment in Brightspace with Terracotta, you’ll first need to set up Terracotta in your course. To do this, follow the instructions here: Getting started in Brightspace

To create an assignment in Terracotta for Brightspace, start by navigating to your course and opening Terracotta. Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide, then refresh the browser window. This will make the module and assignment appear in the list on the left side of your screen.

Now, navigate to Assignments, and click the down arrow next to your assignment title. Click Make visible to users. This makes your assignment available to your students.

Once you’re done creating the assignment, be sure to check and adjust the corresponding grade book item.
