Terracotta Tabs
Once you’ve created the basic elements of your experiment, you’ll be able to navigate through Terracotta’s sections via the tabs at the top of your screen.
Design
The design tab shows the basic elements of your experiment as you set them (title, description, conditions, experiment type). You can edit these elements from this pages, but please note that, if you’re collecting assignment submissions, some functionality won’t be available (i.e., you wouldn’t want to change from a within-subject design to a between-subjects design midstream).
Participant
The participant tab shows the selection method you chose for your experiment, and how many students have opted in. In this example, we’re opted to include all students in the class, so all 9 students are included in the experiment as participants. You can edit this selection method before you begin collecting assignment submissions (including informed consent, if applicable).
Assignment
From the assignment tab, you can create and edit assignments and treatments (the different versions of your assignments), and navigate between your exposure sets. For more info, please see Single version or multiple version assignment and Assignment Settings .
Status
The status tab shows the different assignments and outcomes associated with each of your experiment’s exposure sets. Clicking the title of an assignment reveals the student submissions associated with that assignment, and (in the case of short answer and file submission question types) provides a grading interface. For more info on grading, please see Adding grades for file submissions and Outcomes.
Results
The results tab provides access to the Results Dashboard tabs (overview and outcomes), pictured below. For more information, please see Terracotta Results Dashboard .
